Lore and Information
On Myraeon, we categorize character races into three tiers. These tiers represent two important qualities. The first quality is roughly a “Power Level.” It relates to that race’s traits within the server canon: their abilities, strengths, weaknesses, lifespan, and other characteristics. The second quality is roughly a “Difficulty Level.” It represents the challenge posed to RP a character of that race successfully, convincingly, and fairly. We’ve found that these two qualities directly relate to each other, and as such our three tiers divide races by both qualities simultaneously.
Tier 1: Basic Races
These races are of roughly human powers and traits. Some may have increased strengths in one area in exchange for increased weaknesses in others. A character of a Basic race may be played without filling this application.
Half-blooded Human (presuming traits are mostly human)
Tier 2: Advanced Races
These races are of a power level somewhat higher than the basic races. They might have increased lifespan, increased magical ability, greater physical strength or dexterity. Advanced races require this application to be completed and accepted before your character is approved.
Bestial Races ( Lizardmen, Catfolk, Fishmen, etc)
Monstrous Races (Naga, Minotaur, etc)
Weak Undead (Skeletons, Ghouls, etc)
Tier 3: Special Races
These races are of high power level. Their abilities and traits make them significantly stronger or more esoteric than most other races. It takes a skilled RPer to play a character of these races successfully. Special races may be supported by special classes, and if played well, supported by DMs during events) Special races require this application to be completed and accepted before your character is approved.
Arcane Construct (Golem, Elemental, etc)
Undead (Vampire, Lich, etc)
Tier 4: Godlike Races
Surprise. These races are of power and abilities so extreme that they are restricted to staff members only - and even then, not as main characters.
Name of Race:
If you are applying for a subcategory of an existing race, please make note of that here.
Is this an established race from the list of examples?
Some of the listed examples above have subgroups which exist in lore and canon in the Myraeon world. You are welcome and encouraged to play a character of these groups, if you are so inclined. You may find that your character's race may play a part in their experience on the server - they might meet others of their kin, learn secrets of their history, or discover artifacts made by their forfathers long ago. If you have selected a relevant race, and are interested in learning more of any of these subgroups, let us know!

Race Background Lore
Please include a short summary of this race's lore. If we are interested in adding to server canon, you may be asked to further expand on it!
Tier of Race
If you are applying for a new race, please select your race’s tier fairly.
What strengths and weaknesses will your race have? How will you properly RP them?
Qualitative and quantitative characteristics and examples are helpful here.
Player Reference: Please include the name of an active Myraeon player or staff member who can vouch for your RP ability.
This field is required for Tier 3 races and recommended for Tier 2 races.
How much experience do you have playing a non-human character?
What aspects of your character do you feel cannot be expressed as a human or other Tier 1 race?
What are some things that would make your character's race more than a 'gimmick' ?
How do you plan to integrate your character into a city or town if you do plan to join one?
This question intended for monstrous, bestial, undead, or similar races.
If your race is monstrous or undead, do you understand and accept that well-established players may try to hunt your character down and kill them?
You are, of course, welcome to fight back as fiercely as you like.
